Trade Sheet: Seattle's path to a dominant 'pen

There's a piece or two missing from the club's relief corps, so let's fix that.

The trade deadline is a month away, and your Seattle Mariners are an incomplete team, thanks to injury and unforeseen performance issues.

One of those areas of need is in the bullpen, where Matt Brash is on the IL — he wasn’t himself before the injury, either — and the top relievers have apparent usage concerns.

It’s my opinion the club should not make assumptions about Brash — not just his return, but his return to form — therefore acquiring more than one high-leverage arm should be the goal.

Here’s one of those ideas and what the trade might look like from both sides of the ledger.
